I’ve always been drawn to the intimacy of jewellery, an heirloom that holds a little piece of someone you love, or someone you’ve lost. Having lived through big losses myself, I know the value of making grief tangible: all that emotion, memory and longing, held in one little object you can carry with you.
The Thousand Lovers' Eyes project began in 2015, when my mom gifted me a gold locket made from old pieces of family gold. A locket now containing a painting of my oldest son, Felix's eye.
Nearly 100 Lovers Eyes later, this has become a lifelong project, releasing slots intermittently.
